A tale of two crimes
I have two scenerios for what is being considered a racial crime (hate crime) for my U.S. bloggers that have happened this week here in England. What I want you to do is to guess which one is the racial crime, hence being plastered all over the front pages of the newspapers and every night is given notice as a news item on network news,and which one is being virtually ignored.
It happened to two young men this week during the evening.
One is a young black guy, waiting at a bus stop with his white girlfriend and some others (friends and relatives). Two white guys came out of a pub and started harrassing the black guy. The black guy moved with his girlfriend and others to another bus stop. The white guys who were harrassing them followed; left, and then came back and killed the black guy with an axe to the head.
The same week, a young white guy was riding up top a double-decker bus with his girlfriend. A black guy started throwing food at the guy's girlfriend as well as other passengers. The other passengers moved away, so the black guy continued to throw food at the white guy's girlfriend. The white guy got up to stop the black guy from throwing anymore food at his girlfriend, and was stabbed through the heart by the black guy.
Now, not taking away from either one of the killings, murders actually, only one is being hailed as a racial crime. One has been announced as a murder, the other a killing.
One has had his picture on the front page all this past week, interviews with the pastor of his church, friends, relatives; and we have all gotten to know what a wonderful son, brother, friend he was. The other got a mention, with a small head shot, on the second page, and about a 10 second blip on the radar screen the next night on the nightly news. Neither the paper nor the nightly news ever mentioned what color his killer had been.
So, dear readers, have you figured out which one is the racial crime and which was just an ordinary, um, murder?
To me they are both dead. Murdered by strangers for no apparent reason, but for the hell of it. Both sets of murderers were looking for a victim. Both sets harrassed until they finally killed they're said victims.
So why is one virtually ignored as a poor sod who got murdered?
And the other a virtual hero for being a poor sod who got murdered?

White victims from black murderers have had a media bias against them for years. Any murder is tragic for all victims and their families, but in PC Britain it does not warrant the same attention from our media and so-called leaders! The liberal establishment also gives uneven reporting in the USA.

Racist Murder and White Liberal Guilt
On Friday 18 year old Anthony Walker was murdered in Liverpool, in an disgusting and unprovoked racist attack like the ones that killed 15 year old Kriss Donald and 17 year old Ross Parker.
The murder of Anthony Walker was the main or second item on BBC Radio Four News all Saturday. It was the second item on BBC Television news last night, after the terrorist arrests. High profile coverage continued this morning.
The murders of Kriss Donald and Ross Parker didn't ever make BBC Radio or television news. I'm an avid Radio Four listener and I've never heard Ross Parker's name. The Today programme had one report on the trial of Kriss Donald's murderers and the trial was also mentioned on the PM programme.
The Kriss Donald killing was notable for the horrific and premeditated nature of the attack, the Ross Parker murder because it occurred 10 days after September 11th, when the BBC, Guardian and Independent had all antennae alert for a 'backlash' by Native Brits against innocent Muslims. A racist murder of a Native Brit by Muslims ? Sorry - I can't hear you. On the day Ross Parker was killed this is what the BBC were reporting.
It could perhaps be argued that the remarkable disproportion between the coverage of racist murders where the victim is white (minimal coverage) and non-white (major coverage extending in some cases over years) reflects the severity of the problem. Perhaps black and Asian people are being murdered much more often than white.
The Home Office figures (table 3.6) don't seem to bear this out. Over three years 2001-2004 there were 38 homicides of blacks, 28 of Asians, and 22 of 'other' where the principal suspect was white. For blacks the figures were 87 homicides of whites, 12 of Asians, 11 'other', for Asians 37 homicides of whites, 7 of blacks and 6 of 'other', for 'other' 29 homicides of whites, 4 balck, one Asian.
This kind of data is notoriously difficult to analyse, because of the geographical distribution of ethnic groups. For example, if 95% of the white population lived in areas where they never saw a black or Asian person, it would be unfair to conclude that zero racist murder in those areas equalled zero propensity to racist murder.
But what they can show is conclusively is that in all murders which could POTENTIALLY be racist, white people are over-represented in the victim class and correspondingly under-represented in the 'principal suspect' class. You would never know that if you listened to the BBC.
UPDATE - Who else but the Pub Philosopher also comments. And I'd just like to say that I've no objection to the amount of air that the Anthony Walker case is getting. I'd just like to see all all murders getting that kind of coverage - even if the victim's white. Long ago, when murders were half or a third of todays levels, the BBC reported them all on national news. It would be interesting to know when and by whom the decision was taken to stop this.

Hi Alice I’m working on it very soon, I’m not always near a PC so I need to be able to edit it in case the enemy try to bugger it up! I’m new to blogging going to look at the Halo program hopefully next week.
(I tired to put the following comments on the Englishman’s castle, as follow up, don’t know if it is up yet. He has some kind of blocker that stops comments if they fall into a certain criteria, mainly swear words, completely understandable.)
Whatever way you want to look at it the liberal media have an interest in keeping these stories balanced heavy in one direction! This will help contain backlash against the so-called ethnic population in the UK from racist thugs.
You just don’t get it we don’t want to be patronised by your liberal lilly spill. And we certainly don’t give a flying shit for the reasons behind violent criminal’s actions. About two generations ago our parents and grandparents had a lot of crosses to bear but the crime was not as it is today! You theory bods never face the truth until it happens to you! As for jackbooted BNP supporters, I don’t know any. But don’t be surprised if the public swing towards the BNP if a check is not made on violent crime and terrorist activities here the land of the free, Oh no that’s the good old USA.
A Social worker picks up a mugging victim all bloodied and bruised who was robbed in day light hours, her first words “Oh dear, Oh my I wonder what could have ever made him do a thing like that” in reference to the mugger! LOL
