Better be a fast one.

It's Friday, which means a round of golf for Krip. He's been looking forward to it all week; getting the clubs out; cleaning his golf shoes; setting his clothes out last night~all~ so he could run home and change from just an ordinary working man into GOLF MAN before one can say Arnie Palmer.

And since this is England, it was nice and sunny when he left ~ with just a hint of breeze. It has now proceeded to rain.

Go figure.

Good God, Golf....... A good walk ruined as the boy Twain put it.
I used to play - and every time I did, some arse dressed like an absolute arse would snear at me cos my kit was a bit 'antique'.

That was until I'd shoved my trusty mashy niblick up his jacksy, then he just looked like a novelty golf club cover....

And when I played there was always just one bloody hole that I'd bugger up - it would ruin my round, my day,my marriage, almost.

And finally, why can't we have a sort of John McEnroe character of the golf circuit. Someone who shouts, swears and throws a few tantrums, gives the tree that has stopped his ball a damn good hiding with a 2 iron and offers to twat the odd spectator..... Now that would be worth watching!!!!

I've heard of guys here in the US that do that when golfing Alfie. One guy used to throw his clubs, bend them, scream and holler at people. Not a pro, though. LOL!

That's OK. We golfers don't mind the rain. It's the lightning that's a problem. And, if I remember, there wasn't a lot of that while I lived there.

No lightning yesterday, just rain. Krip had enough sense to bring his rain gear, his partner didn't. Krip and his golfing mates didn't even go for a pint afterwards. Guess their game didn't go as expected.

Or did it?

Polly: Don't remember. I'll have to put my thinking cap on and get back to you on that.
